Course Objective

To teach students some practices in which semi- conductor switching components, rectifier circuits and chopper circuits are used.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to select suitable semi- conductor switching components 2   To be able to explain the operation of the rectifier circuits. 3   To be able to express the operation of inverters. 4   To be able to understand the one- phase diode rectifier circuits. 5   To be able to explain three- phase controlled rectifier circuits.
