Course Objective

The recognition of frequent community and hospital infewctions, teaching disiifection and sterilization procedures and giving information for prevention of infectious diseases

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn infectious process and to define the infection chain 2   To define the symptoms and signs of infection 3   To fully differentiate respiratory, bloodstream, gastrointestinal, and sexually-transmiited diseases 4   To differentiate hospital and intensive careunit infections 5   To organize disinfection and sterilization of infected surfaces and tissues 6   To apply personel protection procedures to prevent infections 7   To apply izolation procedures by selecting appropriate methods 8   To ccoperate with the Hospital Infection Committee
