Course Objective |
In this course detailed knowledge about oncological diseases will be given to the radiotherapy technology student and the student will be enabled to approach cancer patients appropriately; to reflect his/her knowledge about the spreading characteristics of the cancer type and about the aim of radiotherapy to the radiotherapy planning procedure; to be aware of the patients' problems due to disease and treatment that can be encountered during and after radiotherapy; to observe and detect these problems; to direct the patients accordingly for the solving of the problems; to communicate and cooperate with the radiation oncologists, radiotherapy physicists, and radiotherapy technologists for the compensation of the patients' needs and for achieving high quality in their treatment. |
