Course Objective

In this course,it is aimed that to give knowledge about concept of health and disease, disease etiology, prevalence of diseases related to the basic principles in terms of health care;relation betweeen the systems and diseases; nature of infectious diseases and transmision routes.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1,Can define the basic definitions and concepts related to health 2   2,Can define health and disease, and tell the factors that create diseases. Can describe working scheme of health care units in Turkey 3   3.Can discuss the effects of mental health on lifestyle 4   4,Can discuss physiology of reproduction in male and female and physiology of pregnancy. 5   5,Explain the ways of transmission of infectious diseases and their prevention methods. 6   6.Discuss environmental health concepts and the factors that affect it. 7   7,Define Work related diseases, risk factors and prevention methods 8   8,Can define healthy nutrition and have knowlede about glisemic index, bady mass index, calories of nutrients, basal metaboic energy, energy expenditure ways 9   9,Can discuss desenfinfection and sterilization methods and can apply the methods 10   10,Can discuss the preventive methods for nosocomial enfections 11   11,Can describe the organ systems and their physiology
