Course Objective

In this course, it is aimed to enable the student to reach the evidence related with the most frequent symptoms in cancer patients, assess the best evidence and use these evidences in symptom management.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student is aware of the importance of evidence-based practices for nursing.
2   The student can discuss the personal and institutional barriers of nursing to use evidence.
3   The student knows the resources and routes to find evidence.
4   The student can identify evidence-based nursing attempts concerning symptoms.
5   The student can make patient care plans using evidence-based nursing attempts.

2 Fatıgue and evidence based nursing approach

4 Psychosocial problems in cancer patients and evidence based nursing approach
5 Pain and evidance based nursing approach
6 Skin reactions associated with RT and CT and evidence-based nursing approach (hand-foot, nail changes, extravasation)
7 Neutropenia and evidence-based nursing approach
8 Delirıum and evidence-based nursing approach
9 1 st. Midterm
10 Evidenca based psiychosocial problems interventions for cancer patients and nurses who care for cancer patients
