Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to allow students to learn the basic information regarding the field of biochemistry and integrate this information into the nursing field.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student can describe vitamins and trace elements.
2   The student can explain liver and kidney dysfunctions and tests.
3   The student can explain the classification and action mechanisms of hormones.
4   The student knows the normal and abnormal properties and measuring methods of urine.
5   The student can evaluate the biochemical changes that occur throughout the circle of life (childhood, pregnancy, old age, etc.).
