Course Objective |
The aim of the course is to give knowledge about solar control and orientation in architecture to decrease energy requirement of the building according to climatic factors and let the students apply what they learn on a project. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course will be taught in a lecture, class presentation and application format. First the lectures will be given on the first 8 weeks. Then on the 9th, 10th,11th, 12th and 13th weeks, the orientation of a chosen building for a given location and shading analysis will be applied by the students and they will submit this study on the 14th week. |
