Course Objective |
The course examines the shifting techniques of architectural drawing from antiquity until today. It discusses the position of the architect, the changing role of drawing, design methods, representation techniques, and the effects of drawing techniques on architecture in different eras. On completion of this course, the student will be able to be familiar with the literature on the topic and understand that architectural drawing is not only a technical phenomenon, but also a cultural issue. The course mainly focuses on the architectural productions of the Western culture. |
