Course Objective |
This course aims to provide the students to comprehend the reasons of the formations and developments of human settlements and the form of interference of spatial rationals which are depending on time and geography, to define the developing conditions of human sttlements from the first settlements to the mids of the 20. Century, to explain the transformation casaulaties of the settlements in a historical perspective and to discuss the settlement systems in a framework of socio-cultural and econpmic relations. |

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods |
The course will be taught in the form of distance learning during the pandemic period. The course will be given thorugh conference presentations on the Sakai program. Students will learn topics by attanding and listening the lectures. The presentation files will be shared with the students through Sakai, under the "course contents" and "resource" segments. In addition, resources and images such as articles and book chapters related to course topics will be shared with students from related platforms. |

The course will be conducted online in the form of conference presentations and discussions over the reading list. Students will learn the subjects by attending and listening to the lectures, studying the readings given to them and preparing their midterm and final exam homeworks. |
