Course Objective |
The objective of this course is to discuss the general characteristics of iron and steels, cast irons, aluminium, copper, zinc, magnesium, titanium, nickel and cobalt alloys, refractory, reactive and precious metals, their classifications, engineering applications, critical requirements for these applications, the structure-process and property relations. The students are expected to select the right materials for various applications after attending the lectures. |
