Course Objective

This course is a laboratory practice of other courses of the program and covers hands-on tests to better understand materials behavior, interpretation of obtained results and development of report writing skills.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be able to relate the theoretical knowledge with laboratory experiments,
2   be able to understand the necessity of performing laboratory practices according to standards by explaining the concept of standards,
3   be able to evaluate the test results by writing a report by working as a team,
4   to have knowledge about tensile, compression, fracture toughness and impact tests,
5   to have knowledge about bending, folding, creep and temperature measurement experiments,
6   to have knowledge about hardness, wear and surface roughness tests,
7   to have knowledge about metallography experiment,
8   to have knowledge about corrosion test.
