Course Objective

The objective of the course is to teach basic terms of garment patterns and preparing patterns of various garment types by using different garment pattern making techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To describe the body measurements and the body proportions.
2   To compare different types of pattern making methods.
3   To create different garment models from the base pattern.
4   To analyse different garment models.
5   To make patterns from the measurements of sample garment.

Course Policies and Rules

Students are responsible to take their course materials (squared notebook, eraser, pencil, french curve, disinter, setsquare, calliper, tissue paper and glue) in every lessons. Additionally they should take T-square, mesure, riga and sketch paper on the 5th, 8th and 13th weeks of the lesson.
