Course Objective

The objective of this course is to teach the basis of the condition monitoring of machines and techniques used for fault detection.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To determine the reasons of machine fault
2   To use of the techniques based on the vibration
3   To identify the vibration signal with techniques of the time and frequency domains
4   To determine the fault detection of gearbox, bearing and shaft etc. by using time and frequency domains.
5   To make the experimental work.

Homework is assigned to the students after 3 weeks. Students strengthen their learning by solving homework. The successes of the students are evaluated by homework, laboratory, 1 mid-term exam and 1 final exam.
