Course Objective

The aim of the course is to teach the students who do not have any prior knowledge about remote sensing methods, the basic principles of remote sensing and their usage areas in mining activities. In accordance with this purpose, general lines of electromagnetic radio, which is the basis of remote sensing, and data types and general descriptions of remote sensing will be given to the students. In addition, it is aimed that students will use their knowledge about positioning and map projections used with remote sensing data systems. The students' understanding of various analysis methods of images with remote sensing and their applications in mining activities are among the main objectives of the course.
