Course Objective

This is a specialised degree in economic geology designed to update the knowledge and skills required by geoscientists for the exploration and exploitation of pollymetallic ore deposits.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Following the completion of this course, students will; have a broad, integrated knowledge of polymetallic ore deposits.
2   use the modern methods of geology in understanding of polymetallic mineralisation.
3   define lithological, tectonic, mineralogical and geochemical characteristics between different types of polymetallic ore deposits.
4   recognise the structural and textural features in the field.
5   categorize the polymetallic ore deposits according to different geological and geochemical criters.
