Course Objective

The give the understanding and knowledge of prospecting, exploration and evaluation methods in mineral exploration

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student knows the classification of ore deposits
2   The student can determine the best possible methods and their steps for prospecting and exploration of any given ore deposit, and can execute these methods.
3   The student can choose the best possible sampling methods during exploration and mining and execute these sampling methods.
4   The student can evaluate a given ore deposit in three dimensions
5   The student can apply reserve estimation methods and determine the method of mining
6   The student can investigate mineral exploration steps on a given ore deposit
