Course Objective

To explain the application of various geophysical methods on fields by giving general information about geothermal energy and its field applications.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the geothermal energy and its application fields concepts.
2   To be able to define a geothermal system.
3   To be able to define earth interior heat and geothermal gradient measurements.
4   To be able to describe the geophysical methods used in geothermal fields.
5   To be able to list the geothermal fields in the world and Turkiye.
