Course Objective

To teach the basic principles of seismic tomography and to give theoretical information about the tomographic algorithms (ART, SIRT and matrice inversion algorithms), to support it with application studies and to interpret tomograms.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to comprehend the basic theory information about seismic reflection tomography.
2   Be able to comprehend the subject about seismic tomography algorithm
3   Be able to determine an initial velocity model
4   Be able to get skill of interpreting tomographic images.
5   Be able to identify the tomographic images geologically
