Course Objective

It is aimed to give information about the use of CAD based environments developed for highway design.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to obtain 3D terrain maps.
2   To be able to draw highway geometric elements in a CAD environment.
3   To be able to estimate cut and fill volumes in 3D format.
4   To be able to evaluate a highway geometry for design and construction cost perspectives.
5   To be able report and present the findings about a highway design.
