Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to introduce the fundamentals, techniques and the problems may be faced at the design and operation phases of assembly and disassembly systems and having the ability to model and solve these problems, which are one of the base topics within the context of the Industrial Engineering.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understanding the importance of the assembly and disassembly systems among the manufacturing systems.
2   Learning the fundamentals, models and the history of assembly and disassembly systems and understanding the novelty that the assembly and disassembly systems bring to manufacturing systems.
3   Getting information about the design and operation phases of the assembly and disassembly systems.
4   Defining the problems of assembly and disassembly systems, which may be faced at the design and operation phases and appreciating the importance of these problems within the scope of Industrial Engineering.
5   Having the ability of modeling the problems of assembly and disassembly systems and having the ability to solve these problems by using various tecniques.
