Course Objective

This course aims to provide basic knowledge of the procedures required for developing a facility layout.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Will be able to follow steps required for a new facility design
2   Will be able to specify process planning, machine and personel requirements for a facility
3   Will be able to design alternate layouts for departments in a facili
4   Will be able to use a facility design software
5   Will be able to design and analyze the appropriate material handling system for a facility
6   Will be able to design warehouse and storage system
