Course Objective

With this course, students of DEU Department of Industrial Engineering will be introduced as basic office programs (MS Office) that they may need in their professional lives. The aim of this course is to develop the skills of modeling, problem solving and analysis in different platforms as an alternative to industrial engineering basic software through these programs.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Comprehension of computer skills and importance of programming
2   Understanding the use of MS Office programs and their professional contributions
3   Solving a problem with industry by using MS Excel Solver (solver)
4   Modeling and managing database with MS Access
5   To be able to write and present a scientific report with MS Word MS PowerPoint
