Course Objective

The aims are to teach i) domestic and industrial type of recyclables and packaging wastes, ii) their differences, iii) recycling methods, iv) related national laws and international agreements, v) national strategies, vi) scrap material market and its dynamic, vii) the relationship between recycling and energy savings, viii) recycling techniques in residential areas and the factors dfor optimizinf the recycling programs, ix) the recyclables producein Turkey and in the world, x) they physical-chemical systems used in recycling facilities

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can list the recyclables and packaging materials, can describe their differences, can tell recycling methods
2   Can corrolate" the quotas set up by national regulations and international agreements" and "the amount of recyclables produced"
3   Can calculate the plant capacity, income, and energy savings
4   Can categorize and discuss the recycling systems
5   Can offer and design a recycling plant
6   Can forecast the future recycling politics
