Course Objective

To demonstrate the behavior of environmental contaminants in natural and engineered systems, to teach the fate and transport of contaminants through mass balance concept and to present modeling applications in the field of environmental engineering.

2   Defines the mechanisms of contaminant fate and transport.
3   Knows the solution techniques used in environmental modeling.
4   Has a grasp of calibration and verification concepts.
