Course Objective

To teach the fundamental principles of groundwater hydrology and hydraulics within the general concept of hydrologic cycle, to explain Darcy's law and the fundamental equations defining groundwater flow in porous media, to summarize the hydraulic behavior of groundwater wells and to give information on groundwater recharge, monitoring and water quality.
