Course Objective |
Image is not only how we look. Our image is a communication tool as institutional and individual. Image starts with the physical appearance and it continues with behaviours, nonverbal communication; body language,colors,verbal communication;speaking and writing and even email and internet culture, and how we take place in a social media. Effective image management is important. The essential point in image management is the recognition of self personality. Personality is the whole of distinctive psychological and physical feathures of that person. Recognizing our personality means being conscious of what we can do and cannot do, our weaknesses, strengths and core values. Being aware of our image and managing it efficiently and effectively allows us to build our business reputation and perception positively in our professional life. It supports our climbing the carrier steps in a safe, stable and affective way. 90 % of people pass a judgment about each other based on their appearances in the first few minutes when they first confront with each other. In this context, the style of clothing, the accessories are the signs of personal image. Proper dressing is one of the first steps to be taken towards creating a positive image. The aim this lesson is to make possitive the first impressions of young engineers, improve themselves in managing the perceptions of other people, to pass a permanent and constructive information in the way to have an effective personal image. |
