Course Objective

Acquisition of the fundamentals of Dimensional Analysis and Physical Models. Familiarisation with experimental studies

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to obtain dimensionless parameters by using various methods
2   to acquire the basic laws related to physical models
3   to design the appropriate physical model for a given engineering problem
4   to use required equipments for physical model experiments
5   conversion of the experimental results to their real values (in prototype)

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The chapters involved in the text book prepared in accordance with the course objective are treated. The six study groups formed with the students of different curriculum realise in turn the laboratory works during six weeks. They submit their report after each relevant experiment
