Course Objective

Interpretation of the maps used in engineering work, benefit from maps for engineering works, coordinate systems, map preparation techniques and train engineers knowledgeable in map drawing

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand and interpret maps
2   To identify the projection methods
3   To know the coordinate, coordinate systems and make coordinate transformations
4   To calculate area,volume and cross-section application on maps
5   To draw digital map on pc according to map preparation techniques
