Course Objective

to evaluate of environmental and economic aspects of international agreements, environmental aspects of international organizations, environment-based organizations work and the position of Turkey against international agreements and analizing of relationship with international organizations

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   being able to identify action plans and international enviromental policy
2   being able to analyse underlying the developments at the international level about enviroment and the efective of international agrements
3   being able to discus the effects of developed and developing countries's efforts about enviromental protective and economic development
4   being able to question Turkey's enviromental administration and policies and to compare these policies with the best practices at international level
5   being able to make strategies related with current and potencial enviromental problems at local, national and international level

4 European Community and Environmental Policy, Cooperation of European Community with Developing Countries on Environment, Environment-oriented Studies of Council of Europe
5 Tecnical and fiscal tool of European Union Enviromental Policy
6 NGO's working on environmental issues at the international level(Greenpeace, Friends of Earth, PETA etc.)

10 Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal
