Course Objective

Try to explain the historical development of civilization by starting from the emergence of humanity. To tell the history of the struggle of human to change nature and the environment.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to tell pre-state life styles and production-distribution relations.
2   Being able to categorize factors that affected the birth of civilizations.
3   Being able to explain emergence form of important and huge civilizations in the world and
4   Being able to remark the historical development of huge civilizations.
5   Being able to analyse the current discussions about civilizations.

6 The First civilizations: Hittite, Persian, Phoenician, Hebrew Civilizations

9 Islamic Civilization. Africa.
10 Far Eastern Civilizations: China, India, Japan and others
11 European Civilization: Rome and Christianity
12 European Civilization: Humanism and Industry
13 American Civilization: Latin America and the US
14 Russia and its environment. Turkish Civilization.
