Course Objective

To teach the theory and policies affecting the formation of wage, by analyzing factors that led to the wage differentials and wage injustice in labour market, to express its relationship with government, enterprises, trade unions and with the structure of the labor force.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to analyze the factors affecting the formation of wage
2   Being able to assess the wage theories in todays economic and social structure
3   Being able to evaluate chance of success of wage policies in terms of global economy and the country's economy
4   Being able to analyze relationships between wage levels and factors such as unemployment, inflation, the minimum wage, flexible working policies and trade unions
5   Being able to determine the effects of globalization on wages
