Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the structure, functions and role of actors in industrial relations in theoretical debates and approaches; and to analyze the basic features and problems of industrial relations systems in a comparative study.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explain the basic concepts and theories in the field of industrial relations, (1,4)
2   To explain and discuss of institutions, rules and processes of industrial relations system (1,4)
3   To examine and compare the role of actors (workers 'and employers' organizations and the state) in industrial relations systems in the context of different countries. (1,4)
4   To analyze the faced the challenges of the trade unions and collective bargaining systems in all countries. (1,4)
5   To assess the development and characteristics of the industrial relations system in Turkey in the socio-economic context. (1,4)
