Course Objective

Explaining the real analyzis of economic events and processes to "real" economic phenomena, rather than macro-economic development, began to the local economic development the inclusion of the size of space to the economic analysis.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the transition from point economies to space economies
2   To be able to explain concept of region and types, the reasons regional disparities
3   To be able to explain external economies, regional development theories, the elements of infrastructure in regional development.
4   To be able to analyze the effects and processes of the interaction of infrastructure and superstructure in the size of space
5   To be able to analyze the new configuration of the network economy and the knowledge society, new development approaches in knowledge society and the problems of the configuration and operation to information cities.
6   To be able to explain and remove the results regional development agencies and regional economic policies
7   To be able to assess the problems of regional development and regional development policies in Turkey.
8   To be able to apply economic thinking and analysis to local-spatial phenomena
