Course Objective

The main objective of this course is to teach to students the safety culture, marine accidents, human errors and causal factors, the relationship between accidents and "Near Miss" incidents, investigation and reporting.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To enable the students to learn the maritime accidents, the role of the human factor and the mistakes.
2   Ensure that students have knowledge about accident investigation and investigation issues.
3   To ensure that students have knowledge of accident reporting.
