Course Objective

To understand theory of cargo handling,
To understand different types of cargoes and special operations
To understand cargo care concept,
To understand cargo preparation, hold and tank readiness.
To understand the theory of displacement, draft survey, GM and trim.
To be able to calculate cargo quantity, drafts and trim,
To be familiar with ballasting and de-ballasting procedures

1   Learning the principle terminology about Cargo Operations
2   Understanding the different cargo operations needed for different cargoes
3   understand the basics of dry cargo, cargo care and cargo handling concepts.
4   Applying correct calculations method to correct problems at cargo handling
5   Analyzing different cargo handling situations according to calculations
