Students are supposed to understand, Protection of passanger in emergency situations, Damage control and survey, Action to be taken following collision, Action to be taken following grounding, Fire, fire protection and fire fighting, Preventions following fire on deck, Abondoning, Emergency steering system and auxiliary sterering systems, Towage and towing equipments and methods, Procedure for manover board operation, saving person in sea, Measures for assisting a vessel in Emergency situation procedures in port, Life saving equipments, First aid, Search and Rescue Operations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To learn and apply protection of passanger in emergency situations, damage control and survey
2   To learn necessary action to be taken following collision, action to be taken following grounding, fire, fire protection and fire fighting, preventions following fire on deck
3   To learn necessary action to be taken following abondoning, emergency steering system and auxiliary sterering systems, towage and towing equipments and methods
4   To learn necessary procedure for manover board operation, saving person in sea, measures for assisting a vessel in distress, emergency situation procedures in port
5   To get information about life saving equipments , first aid, search and rescue operations, pollution prevention methods at the end of the course
