Course Objective

In our legal system, mediation's widening application area in terms of private law disputes has increased the interest in alternative dispute resolution methods. In this context, arbitration proceedings also increased their importance. Increasing awareness of undergraduate students who will become law enforcement officers on arbitration among alternative dispute resolution methods will contribute to making their profession more professional.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Among the alternative dispute resolution methods, the main features of arbitration proceedings will be learned.
2   Differences between arbitration and state jurisdiction will be learned
3   Detailed information about the arbitration proceedings will be obtained
4   The arbitration proceedings will examine the ethical principles that lawyers and arbitrators are subject to
5   Developments in the world regarding arbitration proceedings will be examined
