Course Objective |
This course aims at providing students with the foundations and basic notions of phonetics and phonology, with the knowledge about how speech sounds are produced and categorised, in which phonetic and phonological processes do the sounds appear and what kinds of variations these processes cause, and which rule patterns underlie these variations. |

The students will also be assessed with regard to participation and overall attitude during lectures. The assesment will be graded via Lecture Activity Assesment sections in the VISA and FINAL exams. |

1. 1- Learning outcomes 1, 4 ,5 and 6 will be evaluated via the questions asked in the mid-term and final exams. |
