Course Objective

The aim of this lesson is to make students see how phraseology researches are placed in literature,processes in idiomatization,how to achieve effective speech with phrases,idiomatization criterions and making comparisons between languages to learn especially Turkish phrases should be placed in dictionaries and how they should be, thus learn the story of many phrases of our culture ve improve their skills in use of phrases in different contexts.

1   Describe the basic concepts about phraseology.
2   . Explain the relation between phrases and society/language.
3   Prepare a phraseological research draft.
4   Compare the phrases by showing the relation among stratum,ethnical origin and language.
5   Recognize phrases in Turkish and English.
