Course Objective

The course will provide a theoretical introduction and an overview of the fundamental applications of Newtonian mechanics based on the classical physics principles.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define the physical quantities with their units
2   Being able to identify the vectorel and scalar quantities
3   Being able to understand the conservation principles of laws of motion
4   Being able to gain an ability to apply Newton s laws of motion to physical problems
5   Being able to calculate work and energy for simple mechanical systems
6   Being able to apply the energy conservation principles to mechanical systems
