Course Objective

The aim of this course is to inform students about description and chemistry drugs and synthesis of pharmaceutical active ingredients.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course students will have information about description, history and nomenclature of drug
2   At the end of this course students will have information about metabolism of active ingredients of the drug
3   At the end of this course students will be able to understand what organic compound depend on to be drug.
4   At the end of this course students will have information about synthesis of active ingredients of drugs.
5   At the end of this course students will have information about synthesis of new compounds of active ingredients of the drug

Student will be evaluated with midterm exams, a homework presentation and final exam. Homework presentations will be made during the last two weeks of the semester
