Course Objective

The objective of this course is the fundamental research in Physical Chemistry which is pursued by both experimental and theoretical methods. Current research activities focus on nanomaterials, functional molecular and supramolecular materials, polymers and natural polymers, transport, catalytic and photoinduced processes, environmental technology and renewable energy nanotechnology. Adapted to the research projects of those students presenting a thesis in physical chemistry, or upon demand of interested students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student will be able to: Converging research activities focusing on subjects of fundamental research and applications in the field of Physical Chemistry
2   Discuss the general properties of Nanotechnology and related techniques.
3   Have basic informations on the methods data sampling, evaluation technology.
4   Discuss on experimental data evaluation and statistics in physical chemistry.
5   Have sufficient information on project writing, reporting and presentation.

Questions in homeworks, mid-term and final exam will be based on the assessment of understanding of basic concepts in presentations, associating of concepts and cause-effect relationships.
