Course Objective

To understand reactions of the precipitation, complexation and redox constituted the base of solution chemistry and the principles of electrochemistry

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The reactions of the precipitation, complexation and redox constituted the base of solution chemisty should be understood, the information which shall be carried out the titrations related to these reactions should be had
2   The principles of electrochemistry, the concepts of charge-current-potential and the relations of these concepts should be explained, the calculations of electrode potential and cell potential should be made
3   The potentiometric method and the types of electrode used in the potentiometric method should be known, the relation of current-voltage in the electrolysis, culometric method and the usage of this method should be expressed
4   Voltammetry and the excitation pulse used in the voltammetry, electrode types, polarographic and voltammetric methods, the components of apparatus, cyclical voltammetry and peeling methods should be explained, the results obtained should be interpreted
5   The application fields of polarographic analysis, the alternative usage of this analysis according to the other methods, detection limits should be explained, the results obtained should be interpreted
