Course Objective

This course examines the characteristic and the key themes of postmodern literature and discusses these themes in selected novels/stories of American postmodern literature.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be familiar with the major postmodern writers and novels, 2   to study selected major American postmodern novels/stories 3   to analyze the key themes such as reality, narration, history and identity in this genre 4   to evaluate the selected texts with a critical mind
