Course Objective

According to the masters of art history and their drawings, approaching the model academic in order to analyze line as an element of plastic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Working from model with an original lineal language by considering elements and principles like portion, light, movement, unity and balance.
2   Expressing the model s characteristics by using various lines of his/her original lines from real life objects.
3   Drawing from real life objects by linear modeling with an original way of expression
4   Drawing artistic originals from real life objects based on light.
5   Drawing from real life objects in detail artistically.
6   Drawing from real life objects artistically.
7   Drawing from real life objects academically.
8   Working with ink monochromatic artistic originals based on figure-ground relation.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Academic and artistic way of drawing, artistic-stylistic feature of line, functions on etude, line modeling and expression of lightness-darkness.
2 Seeing and discussing on samples the possibilities line differentiating in an artistic-stylistic way and features creating different types of expression.
3 Examining drawings according to usable masters and research subjects. Reproducing pieces of art of masters in an artistic-stylistic way on A4 paper by pencil.
4 Drawing from real-life objects on 50x70 by pencil considering elements and principles like proportions, light, movement, unity, balance with an original way of lines.
5 Drawing from real-life objects by using various lines with an original way of linear expression on 50x70 by pencil.
6 Drawing from real-life objects with an original way of expression by using linear modeling on 50x70 by pencil.
7 Drawing from real-life objects considering light artistic originals on 50x70 by pencil.
8 General Review, Course Assessment, Midterm Exam
9 Etudes from real-life objects artistic originals in detail on 50x70 by pencil.
10 Drawing from real-life objects based on light and line on 35x50 with ink by stick and drawer.
