Course Objective

The purpose of this course, popular culture and society on the basis of conception, the basic concepts of international popular and classical music, world music cultures as well as research of existing, popular and art music, Turkish music education, importance and contribution to interpret.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   They related to national and international popular music will have the intellectual knowledge.
2   They understand music as an the cultural phenomenon outside aesthetic phenomenon.
3   They make music and community analysis.
4   They evaluate popular music in the context of each time period and the purposes of consumption.
5   They establish the relationship popular music and music education.
