Course Objective

Area-specific basic concepts and the concepts associated with the fields of education, the Constitution and the Basic Law on National Education, the general purpose of teaching space, the method, techniques, equipment and materials that are used. Review of the related education program (objective, achievements, theme, unit, activity, etc.). Review and evaluation of sample workbooks for teachers, lectures and students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know about basic social studies concepts.
2   Comprehension of teacher efficacy.
3   Comprehension vision of social studies teaching curriculum.
4   Investigate social studies curriculum.
5   Comprehension of different teaching methods and techniques.
6   Chosing and appling general teaching methods and techniques for teaching the subject areas
7   Integrate instructional technology tools into social studies teaching and learning (computers, projectors, etc.)
8   Planing and applying micro-teaching activities
9   Develop expertise and professionalism in teaching social studies.
