Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the students the events that took place from the 17th century to the French Revolution in the Ottoman History, and the period of stagnation and the period of regression.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to summarise events in the Ottoman History from the 17th century to the French Revolution
2   To be able to explain periods of stagnation and regression in the Ottoman History
3   To be able to explain the relations between the Ottoman Empire and Europe
4   To be able to explain the relations between the Ottoman Empire and Russia
5   To be able to explain the relations between the Ottoman Empire and Iran
