Course Objective

At the end of this course students will have the knowledge of intermediate level Ottoman Turkish language necessary to read and understand Ottoman History by using primary sources

1   To be able to read printed Ottoman texts
2   To be able to know the last period Ottoman sources
3   To be able to use printed Ottoman chronicles
4   To be able to use Kamus-ı Türkî in Ottoman language
5   To be able to analyze the historical writings in newspapers of II Constitutional Era
