Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students summarize the general lines of the earlier periods of Islamic history.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1 To be able to summarize the political history of Islamic State from the foundation to the end of Abbasid Dynasty
2   2 To be able to identify the basic structure and institutions of Islamic state
3   3 To be able to specify Islamic conquests and dynamics of spread of Islamic State
4   4 To be able to analyze the effects of Islâmic civilization on the world civilization
5   5 To be able to explain general situation of Middle and Near East in 6., 7. and 8. centuries
